My Background

Tania Lawrence was elected to the Federal seat of Hasluck, in May 2022.

Prior to her election Tania worked for many years as a policy advisor for state governments and was an executive for a major energy company.  She was also the first female president of Motorcycling Australia.

Tania is passionate about so many of the issues that face us federally.   She wants to make life easier for people who are doing it tough with the current cost of living pressures.  She wants Australia to stand up and become a green energy superpower.  She wants us to conserve and protect our beautiful natural environment, which is our inheritance and our responsibility.

Apart from her electoral and general parliamentary duties in what is already one of the most industrious and productive parliaments in our history, Tania is a member of the House Economics Committee, the Joint Trade and Investment Growth Committee and the Joint Committee on Constitutional and Electoral Matters.

Tania was proud to sit on the Joint Select Committee on the legislation for the National Anti-Corruption Commission, which has now commenced operation.  She is also the chair of the Sustainable Australia Caucus Committee, a member of the International and Legal Caucus Committee, chair of the Interparliamentary Country Groups for Germany, Brazil, Mongolia and Serbia and a co-chair of the Parliamentary Friends of Conservation and Threatened Species.
